Located in Innisfail since 1967, Radio 4KZ covers the lush tropical coast of Far North Queensland from Townsville in the south to Cairns city in the north. In July 2024, 76.6% shareholding interest in Coastal Broadcasters Pty Ltd was acquired by Broadcast Operations. This included Far North Queensland radio stations such as Kool FM, KIK FM/4AY, 4KZ  and 4AM.

The town was originally called Geraldton until 1910. Innisfail is the largest township of the Cassowary Coast Region and is known for its sugar and banana industries, as well as for being one of Australia's wettest towns.
