Originally broadcast on the 1287 AM band 2TM has been operating in Tamworth since 1935. Over the decades it has played a significant role in Tamworth’s identity, especially with the town being known as the Country Music Capital of Australia. The station was purchased on January 6th, 1995 by Broadcast Operations. The group also own sister Tamworth station, 92.9FM.
